In that last sip of coffee I know you like to have in the morning, in that thought you have before leaving the house and feeling like you are forgetting something.
Look for me in the places where you scattered the pieces you took from me and that i gave away so willingly.
Find me in the rays of sunshine that light up your eyes the same way I used to. In the water drops that run through your skin after you swam in that lake near the holiday house.
You will find me in the warm and silent breeze of a summer night, in the unspoken yet underlying tension before a kiss. In the fragility of a moment so longed for it will only lead to dissapointment, only to be found in moments that you can only feel if you stay still.
You will look for me when you hear a bicycle coming near yours in that long road that leads to nowhere but the sun. Or when you hear two lovers intertwine in laughter or fight to the point of shooting daggers with no return.
You will see me in the cry of a mother saying a final goodbye to her son, or in the crowd of eyes as you walk down the aisle. You will look for me in every lover before and after us, but you will never find me.
I will forever stay in the overflowing river drowning those flowers that served as mediums for our desire.
But you will not find me in that train station where we said goodbye, because I gave myself in to you that night in 1983.
